Selection Process & Research Methodology

INDIA'S NO. 1 BRAND AWARDS has achieved the acknowledgement of the most powerful corporate awards program in its field. The brands get chosen based on a detailed study done by International Brand Consulting Corporation USA on 1000 short-listed brands from separate classes. Based on studies and a consumer survey performed in more than 20 Indian states, these brands get chosen for the prize.

India's No. 1 Brand Awards aims to identify the best of the best brands based on customer input. Brands that get ahead on the list from the research were not necessarily chosen based on their sales/turnover/profits. Instead, the brand's overall quality, functionality, pricing, promotions, after-sales service, image, and other considerations might influence the decision. Therefore, we choose brands most openly and as authentically as possible. It is India's largest multi-format brand platform based on studies.

The following tiers were used to split the complete study platform:-



Level 1:

The first level of research began with the generation of a list of approximately 1000 brands from various Indian states in the service and infrastructure sectors, as well as 82 subcategories based on secondary research conducted through physical surveys, market studies, and category-specific brand reports. The first level of research began with the generation of a list of approximately 1000 brands from various Indian states in the service and infrastructure sectors, as well as 82 subcategories based on secondary research conducted through physical surveys, market studies, and category-specific brand reports. The brand list got compiled using existing lists, rankings, research papers, and other obtainable sources.
Users in more than 50 cities throughout India get invited to vote for India's No. 1 Brand Awards, and they responded by naming the brands they believe are the greatest in their respective segments in a study done by International Brand Consulting Corporation, USA. There were almost 1,42,512 votes obtained. The top brands in India got classified into 82 industry sectors.



Level 2:

Our research team extensively analyzed the preliminary list of 1000 companies on the dimensions of Brand Appearance, Brand Growth, Brand Recognition, Brand Leadership, Brand Equity, Brand Influence, Brand Creativity, Brand Trust, and Brand Value on a scale of 1 to 10 (where one is the lowest and ten is the highest).



Level 3:

The IBC research team forwarded a list of 200 qualified brands to a group of distinguished jury members, who once assessed them on a scale of 1 to 10. (The jury gets comprised of top-ranking executives from different industries, including business, finance, marketing, advertising & media, as well as a worldwide expert adviser. For an impartial selection, all identities are kept confidential, except among the Jury members themselves.)



Final Level:

The ultimate list of INDIA'S NO.1 BRANDS gets compiled using the jury's, editorial team's, and consumer votes collected via surveys.

  • The IBC team's evaluation was given a 20% weightage.
  • The jury's scores get provided a 20% weightage.
  • Consumer voting via survey received a 60% weightage.



Analysis: To determine the victors of INDIA'S NO. 1 BRAND AWARDS, the IBC research team scoring, jury members scoring, and consumer votes were cumulated.
